Sam and John met in 2018 during their first year in the MPA program at the University of Georgia. Sam had a crush on John from the moment he wowed her with his public speaking skills during a group presentation (getting them an A!).

Sam did not win John over in class and he moved to Athens. However, in the summer of 2019, Sam saw John at Neighbors Pub in Atlanta and said hello. He followed her on IG after, but didn't slide into her DM's until December and asked Sam on their first date!

After a short period of Sam ghosting John, and a few dates later, they were inseparable (and not just because a global pandemic had begun).

Since then, Sam and John have enjoyed planning trips together and traveling, taking them to the Pacific Northwest, the Carolinas, and Florida to visit family, and Ecuador, Jamaica, Germany, Belgium, England, Scotland, and many more.

They also love being parents to their sweet cat Luna :)
